Candle use and safety instructions
To ensure the best possible experience with your candles, please follow the instructions below:
All candles
- Store them preferably in a cool, dark place.
- Do not expose them to direct sunlight, or near a heat source.
- Avoid using them when the ambient temperature exceeds 25°.
- Use candles indoors, away from drafts.
- Follow the safety instructions indicated by pictograms.
- Extinguish your candles with a snuffer before they are fully consumed (minimum 5mm), so that you can remove them easily.
- You can use hot water (70°C) to melt any wax stuck to your candleholders.
Bees wax candles
- A light white veil may appear on your beeswax candles. This is a natural phenomenon known as “bloom”: Wax compounds rise to the surface and crystallize, creating efflorescence. You can easily remove this white veil by wiping the candles with a lint-free cloth, and they’ll regain their lustre.
- A small drop of wax forms when you light the candle. It only drips a few centimetres and is quickly absorbed by the flame. Normally, this is the only drop you’ll see!
