All our Bees candles are passionately handmade in our Strasbourg workshop.
Une Bees has just two natural ingredients: beeswax and cotton!
Beeswax candles are renowned for their excellent burning properties, contributing to healthier indoor air.
Composition: pure beeswax and cotton
Length: 20 cm
Diameter : up to 13 mm.
Perfectly adaptable to Nagel, STOFF, BMF, Quist and similar modular candleholders thanks to their adaptive base.
Burn time : approx. 3h15
Clean, complete combustion without wax drips or smoke.
Why beeswax?
Beeswax is ideal for candle making, offering high burn quality with a bright, constant flame, no smoke, no drips, and a naturally sweet honey scent.
Beeswax is environmentally friendly.
It is a beehive product, and its use promotes beekeeping.
Its use as candle wax requires only filtration to remove impurities, without chemical treatment or additives.
It is also very healthy, and its combustion does not release toxic elements.
Its only drawback: its high price!
It’s around six times more expensive than kerosene (a mineral wax derived from petroleum) and two to three times more expensive than vegetable waxes.
How is it done?
Our Bees candles are made from purified beeswax, purchased from a supplier located less than 80 km from our workshop.
It arrives in the form of small shavings that we melt in a bain-marie.
After inserting and centering a cotton wick in our molds, we pour in the melted wax.
Once the wax has cooled, we remove the candles from the moulds, cut the wicks, then bevel the bases to ensure perfect adaptability to your vintage modular candleholders!
